Mentor - Civil & Structural Engineering

Ergo aspires to be New Zealand’s first choice provider of engineering consulting services to the power and energy industry. We have a reputation for quality engineering design and advice, working predominantly with public utilities in the energy industry. We are based in Newmarket but work with clients throughout New Zealand.

We have recently launched an in-house civil and structural team and are now looking for an experienced civil/structural engineer to provide technical mentoring. This part-time role would suit a retired, semi-retired engineer or an independent contractor keen to give back and share knowledge with younger engineers. We envisage a flexible working position, either on our permanent staff or as a contractor.

Currently still a small team, we are energetic and expanding steadily in pursuit of our strategic growth objectives. We already have some talented and ambitious young engineers. We want to optimize the team size and experience so that we can provide the best advice and solutions to our clients whilst at the same time developing the capabilities of the team.

If you can help, have 4-5 hours available a fortnight, like working with young engineers and want to keep in touch with the industry, give me a call and let’s talk about it over a coffee.
