Ergo’s work, in our civil and structural team provides general building analysis and design expertise across energy sector and for other projects in New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.

Graduate Development Programme

Over your first 4 years with us, our Graduate Development Programme will provide you with a comprehensive cross-company experience, underpinned by key learning opportunities to support and encourage your rapid development. You will also be assigned a mentor, an experienced engineer from within the business, who will help your development through your crucial early stages of career development.

Applications from final year Civil/Structural students

Ergo is now accepting applications from Final Year students, or from recent NZ graduates, for our Graduate Level Engineering positions for 2025 in:

  • Civil & Structural Design – specialising in building and structural analysis for the energy industry.

This position is available to students completing their final year of a Bachelor of Engineering and wanting to start their career off in a company committed to the development of Graduate Engineers.

To be considered for this role you will need to have a minimum of a BE (Civil), BE (Structural/Civil) or be graduating in early 2025.

In addition you will need to:

  • have strong, but not necessarily top academic results – we are looking for well-rounded individuals
  • be a team player
  • have excellent communication skills in order to effectively interact with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and your colleagues – written and oral.
  • be an “active” learner
  • have a passion for engineering

This is a permanent full time role. A competitive remuneration package will be offered to the successful applicant.
