Ergo has been working with EECA over the last two years on the Regional Energy Transition Accelerator (RETA) programme. The RETA programme is focused on understanding some of the regional barriers and opportunities associated with decarbonisation of process heat.
In addition to our work considering the potential impacts on the transmission and distribution networks within each region associated with decarbonisation of process heat, we also worked with EECA to develop a Web App presenting some of relevant data associated with the programme – providing spatial context.
Ergo built the RETA Map, using Esri’s ArcGIS Online platform and ArcGIS Experience Builder. The web application is a simple visual way of summarising, at a regional level, the opportunity for process heat decarbonisation, using the existing electrical and biomass infrastructure and resources within each region.
