Geothermal power plant for the Caribbean Government of Dominica – Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT)

We are providing project management for the construction of a new 7MW geothermal power plant in Dominica, a Commonwealth country with a population 70,000.

The island is mountainous with naturally occurring hot springs and volcanically heated lakes.

The new plant will replace existing diesel-powered generation located in the north and south of the country, reducing electricity tariffs and improving the economic outlook for the country.

The project is funded by the World Bank, with aid from NZ’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT).
